Line Uhrenholt received her medical degree from Aarhus University in 2013 and has since primarily worked at the Rheumatology Department at Aalborg University Hospital. Line has been teaching medical students (7th and 8th semester) from Aalborg University and Aarhus University in different topics in rheumatology since 2016.

Line is a board member of the association of young rheumatologists in Denmark since 2016 and a board member of the Committee for National Treatment Guidelines since 2017. Line has participat-ed in the development of the new national Danish guideline for rheumatoid arthritis.

In 2015 she began her specialist training in rheumatology, but has paused from this position since 2017, where she began her research fellowship. Lines research field in rheumatology is biological therapy in rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and axial spondyloarthritis. Line is currently em-ployed as a research fellow at the Rheumatology Department at Aalborg University Hospital and co-affiliated with Musculoskeletal Statistics Unit, the Parker Institute.

The overarching aim of her planned PhD project will be to evaluate whether an interactive patient-involving dose optimisation tapering strategy for biological therapy will enable a significant dose-reduction while being equivalent in maintaining disease activity assessed 18 months from baseline compared with “usual care” (i.e. continuing biological therapy unchanged). The thesis will be based on separate studies that focus on various aspects of clinical epidemiology and evidence-based rheumatology.
