George Luta is an Associate Professor of Biostatistics at Georgetown University, and a Professor of Biostatistics (20%) at Aarhus University. Dr. Luta has more than 15 years of work experience as a Biostatistician, including 6 years at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. His collaborative research work has included projects related to arthritis, cancer, and neurology. His methodological research is focused on the development of new statistical methods for the analysis of data from clinical trials and observational studies using empirical likelihood and generalized inference methods. His research work has resulted in 90 peer-reviewed publications and more than 40 abstracts presented at national and international conferences.
