Anja Ussing is educated as a physiotherapist in Copenhagen in 2001 and has worked with evidence-based physiotherapy for pelvic floor disorders and incontinence for more than 10 years. In 2017 she graduated as MSc in health science from Copenhagen University. As a master student Anja planned and coordinated a randomized controlled trial that investigated the efficacy of supervised pelvic floor muscle training in adults with fecal incontinence. At the Parker Institute Anja is currently working on the 3 years follow-up data from this trial. Anja has also been project coordinator for at patient education program for women with fecal incontinence. Alongside her work at the Parker Institute, Anja works as a methods consultant for the Danish Health Authority in the development of National Clinical Guidelines. Primary research areas of interests are physiotherapy for pelvic floor disorders, pelvic floor muscle training, fecal and urinary incontinence, and meta research.
