Anders Overgaard graduated as MD in 2011 from The University of Copenhagen. Post graduate he sought education in the field of Neurosurgery and Orthopedic surgery. Prior to graduation Anders was working with the Copenhagen Muscle Research team (CMR) under professor Niels h. Secher. His stay with the CMR sparked his enthusiasm and set him on the path to becoming a clinical researcher. Anders has years of experience in orthopedic surgery with a broad interest in the many different aspect of the musculoskeletal diseases and this remains the main interest of his studies.
Anders joined the Parker Institute in August 2016 here his is conducting a large randomized trial studying the effects of weight loss and Liraglutid treatment in overweight patients with knee osteoarthritis. And in collaboration with Gentofte Hospital preforming research relating obesity and knee arthroplasty
